Meet the manufacturer: Aarrow Stoves
Aarrow Stoves is one of a few brand names used by Arada Ltd for their stoves. Since they each have quite distinctive styles, we’ll be looking at each of those brands separately for our Meet the manufacturer blog series, which looks at the various stove manufacturers on sale at Gr8Fires.
British-made Aarrow Stoves, built in Devon, have managed to marry the traditional aspects of the wood-burning stove with contemporary design very successfully. Stoves made by Aarrow tend to display the evolution rather than revolution of the wood burner.
At first glance they are exactly what you’d expect from a wood-burning stove. But on closer inspection they often lack some of the fussiness of older stoves in favour of clean, modern lines and a very slick design.
So, let’s take a whistle-stop introduction to the range.
Aarrow Acorn View 4kW Multi-Fuel Wood Burning Stove
The Acorn range is, as its name would suggest, the baby of the Aarrow range. This 4kW version is popular for small rooms, caravans, barges and other cosy spaces.
As you can see, it’s a cute little thing: perfect if you’re worried a larger stove could overwhelm your living room. It punches above its weight when it comes to heating though. Don’t be fooled by its size: the Acorn will keep you snug without any problems.
Aarrow DEFRA Approved Ecoburn 5 Wood Burning Stove
From a style point of view, the Ecoburn is very much big brother to the Acorn. It has the same functional yet stylish appearance as the smaller model.
But it also comes with the added bonus of extra controllability, which allows you to run your stove more efficiently. Again, you might have guessed this from the name.
This DEFRA approved model is particularly useful since it has been deemed suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas. If you thought you couldn’t have a wood-burning stove in your home, this could be the answer.
Aarrow i600 7.5kW Flexifuel Multi-Fuel Stove
The Aarrow range also includes a number of sleek inset woodburners. This i600 model is indicatives of those i Series appliances.
This cassette stove slots into a hole in a wall or a fireplace opening to create an ultra-modern look.
