Stove Vermiculite Bricks

We sell replacement bricks for our current range of stoves, including brands such as Mazona and Arada as well as some for older models. Bricks are made from vermiculite board and as such are a consumable product that won’t be covered by your stoves warranty. Check your stoves manual to clarify what is and isn’t covered under your warranty.

The main purpose of the bricks in your stove is to improve efficiency. The bricks insulate your stove to allow the stove chamber to burn at a higher temperature therefore burning off harmful particulate emissions in the chamber instead of releasing them up your chimney. They also help push the heat generated by your stove into your living area, and act as a barrier between the stove chamber and the metal body of your stove which helps protect your stove from ageing.

As you use your stove the bricks will expand and contract due to the changes in temperature and this can cause them to crack, this can happen even when you are burning the correct fuel and using your stove correctly. Cracked bricks are still usable and they will only need replaced when they begin to crumble or the thickness of the brick has corroded away.
