Ezee Glow Celestial fuel bed installation (easy instructions and video)

How to add the decorative fuel to the fuel bed of your Ezee Glow Celestial Built-In Electric Fire

If you’ve bought an Ezee Glow Celestial Built-In Electric Fire, you’re probably raring to go with your new appliance. Once you have the media wall or recess ready to hold your fire, there are very few things you need to do before you can start using your built-in electric fire.

One thing you will need to do is to prepare your fuel bed. This means setting out the crystals and artificial logs provided as you want them to be set out. Fortunately, this is a very easy job.

The fuel bed tray will already be sitting in place inside the fire for shipping. To fill it with the fuel bed items simply follow these steps:

1. Remove the screws from the metal brackets holding the front glass panel in place (supporting the glass while doing so), then carefully remove the glass panel.

2. Add the decorative crystals to the base of the fuel bed tray. Take time to disperse them evenly or in accordance with the appearance you want to create.

3. Scatter the charred wood pieces evenly across the fuel bed on top of the decorative crystals.

4. Add the ceramic logs to the fuel bed on top of the other items, arranging them to create the look you want.

5. Replace the front glass panel and screw the metal brackets back into place.

6. Sit back, relax and experiment with your Ezee Glow Celestial fuel bed colours and flame effects.

For a closer look at each of those steps and a better idea of what everything looks like, watch the video below.

You’ll find It’s all very straightforward. There’s additional information in your product manual and if you do have any questions, feel free to get in touch.

Additional fuel bed items

We’re sometimes contacted by customers who want to add their own flourish to the fuel bed, perhaps by adding coals, more ceramic logs or other decorative items. Since there is no heat generated inside the fire itself (only by the heater above), it is perfectly acceptable to do this.

Keep in mind that the decorative crystals and the ratio of ceramic logs have been selected to best showcase the LED effects and the choice of 12 fuel bed colours, but there’s no reason why you can’t put your own twist on this.
