Really happy with this small stove and the service from gr8fires. Easy to arrange delivery. Fire is very easy to use and looks pretty giving out lots of heat.
Price Quality Delivery - Great little Stove

The GBS Mariner 4 KW stove is a great looking little stove, It's all installed but won't be lighting it until later in the year so can't comment on performance. The delivery was great and I'm very happy with the price and the service I recieved from GR8 Fires. Would recommmend this stove if 4kw is what you are looking for, Only needs a decorative hearth to comply with the regs so if your installation site has no constructional hearth already there then this burner would fit straight in.

Great wee stove, exactly right for our open plan garage conversion. Looks smart and good quality.
Price Quality Delivery - Super little stove
-
Delivery awful, rude driver, came on the wrong day. Stove itself superb. Very small firebox, and takes a bit of getting to know, but once you have mastered its dear little quirks, it looks after itself. Good heat output and very efficient burning. Looks pretty, too.
Price Quality Delivery - Great fire and great service
-
I ordered the fire and asked advice on all parts I would need. The guy sorted me out perfect all went together even though I fitted it myself absolutely great. The fire packs a tremendous punch in my man cave. Great delivery on time driver went above and beyond what I could have expected. Also best price around. What more could you want. Don't hesitate just buy.

Great service from these people and very helpful, it's a lovely little stove and at a good price, it was delivered in a few days at a very busy time of the year. Extremely impressed with the customer service and products I received, will definitely be using this company again.

Very very pleased with the fire. The price was very good and it did not compramise the quality of the wood burner.
Overall I am very impressed with GR8 and the GBS Mariner wood burner .Price Quality Delivery - No problems - great little stove
-
The stove was delivered promptly and the delivery driver unloaded it and took it to the garage door - after reading some reviews we expected it to be left on the roadside but he was very helpful. We have now had the stove fitted and it is great. No problems at all. We don't have a huge lounge and didn't need a large stove but it keeps us nice and cosy. Its also easy to light. Not tried to keep it in all night as the weather has been fairly mild but will have a go when it gets colder. Thanks.

I only needed a small stove and this little bad boy is unreal for the money, the build quality is unreal for what I paid, I've got an 8kw stove in my front room and this chucks as much heat out as that. I've tried different fuels coal logs and briquets, in my opinion the briquets are the best,
Price Quality Delivery - Beautiful little stove.

A great Stove, and fast delivery, I bought all the flu work for it, and it took me half a day to fit the stove and the flu in my works shop, climbing up on the roof to cut the hole, and fit the double skinned chimney and cowl was a bit scary, but job done, then came the moment of lighting up the stove, no problems, the stove just fired up beautifully, fiddled about with the primary air and secondary air inlets, and got it burning just right, it did not take long to warm up the workshop, very pleased with everything, now I can spend winter day's and evenings in the warm, just the right job, :)
Price Quality Delivery - best small stove available at a good price
-
i made a good search for a small stove and am very happy with the quality and price of the mariner 4 (hamlet hardy 4) made by arada. There are some smaller woodburners around but they usually dont have glass or grate, this was the smallest multifuel stove for just a few quid more. Stove was despatched quickly by Gr8 fires and arrived well packed on a small pallet.
Price Quality Delivery - Great stove competitive price

Gutted!
Even after research and conversation with customer services I received a different model to the one I ordered and furthermore the model supplied is wrongly advertised as being a 'Multi Fuel' stove. It cannot be used to burn House Coal? If I'd been advised of this as I requested initially by Customer Services then I would most certainly have shopped elsewhere. Nowhere in the item description is this very important factor mentioned, not until you've opened the box and read the instructions.
So. If you want to be an "Eco Warrior' and burn the expensive 'Eco Fuels', then fine.
I don't !
Gr8 fires reply: We are sorry to hear of your disappointment, you are welcome to return the unused item for a refund. House coal is not recommended for use in any of our multifuel stoves. It contains coke. Back in the day Coke was the fuel of choice for iron works and foundries because it burned so hot it was just the thing for melting iron. There aren't that many foundries about these days and so there is excess coke on the market. It makes its way into blended products labeled as house coal because the high temperatures aren't too damaging in an open fire where the airflow is much greater around the grate. The conditions in a stove are a lot more confined and the high heat which is released so quickly with house coal can cause premature wear of the internal components such as grate bars liners and baffles. Manufacturers prefer anthracite because it burns in a more controlled way.
Over firing of the stove causes pitting and cracking of the vermiculite liners, drooping or buckled baffles, drooping and burnt through grates and grate bars. In extreme cases the stove body can buckle. You can protect against this by investing in a stove pipe or stove top thermometer and using approved fuels. If in doubt talk to your coal merchant for mineral fuels suitable for closed appliances such as stoves.Price Quality Delivery - good small burner
