Good piece of kit for the price
The price and delivery was excellent, the installation was straightforward as replaced a boiler. Once the newness was burned off I was very surprised the amount heat it put out and had to reduce the fuel considerably. The wood I using was incorrect though, some very dry pine. the burner did not like it. But I have purchased better logs, beech and oak, small quantity at a time and can control the temperature.

Great stove for the price
Price: You might get a cheaper stove but these have a baseline level of build quality and finish I would not personally want to dip under.
Quality: The quality is good. Good things: Key areas have been done properly: solid steel, welding is neat, glass is good quality (no crazing or imperfections), cast iron door, air vents milled from billet steel and very solid. Door hinges are good quality and do no creak or stick. Bad things: The grate riddling mechanism is super basic and needs to be handled gently or it can flip in situ. The air intakes use spring loaded screws w/ washers. Mine was missing a washer on the secondary air. The design is simple and works OK but gets rather stiff in operation as things expand - which can lead to burns if you aren't careful. The secondary air intake does not allow full closure (<=25%) meaning you burn up fuel faster than you'd like at less than a full load. Short of drilling and cutting fresh threads in the bar, which I did btw, there's nothing you can do to adjust that yourself (this will be the Defra compliance which I would have preferred to see done in a way that allows a discerning user to quickly mod it to taste). The screw in handle keeps coming lose as it screws in the same direction you pull it to open the door. The door opens from the left which is annoying as vast majority of people are right handed. Minor annoyance. All the paint burned off the inside baffle metal parts on first use. Again minor, I don't expect anything less really. I would have preferred bare/polished steel but don't expect it at this price point and those parts get covered in carbon and gunk anyway. Being steel body most of the head radiates out the bottom, back and sides and relatively little out the front. If you are going to use this in a hearth/fireplace make sure you position it as far forward as you can or you'll loose most of the heat in to the stonework. Easily solved by using a fan.
Delivery: It was delivered OK. Just bear in mind delivery is from truck to curbside and from there you are on your own. Make sure you have a sack truck and two sets of hands. I would prefer to be give a slot in advance and not just called up on the day etc. People work, you know guys!
Overall opinion: Good stove, well constructed. I would improve the design by adding a pin in the form of an allen screw from the back to keep it locked solid. Other than that I can definitely recommend these as being one of those products that, while comparatively cheap, is definitely not going to disappoint you or leave you wishing you'd spent 2-300 more on a same spec alternative.
WARNING: It seems obvious but these things get very hot. Especially the steel parts. You don't get a split second of 'oops' like you do with cast iron stoves. Steel heats up very fast and its easy to get caught out and burn yourself. Watch out for the top of these. Always use a glove when opening the door as the aluminium handle also gets very warm.
USAGE TIP: The instructions are useless re: getting a good fire on. With wood you need to burn down a full load of dry logs cut smaller to allow air flow. Keep the secondary and tertiary vents full open. You never need to use the primary air with wood and should not, always keep that closed. One your first load has burned down you need to refill with slightly thicker logs. Again full open. An hour is all it takes to burn that down to coke. Then you add your big logs and shut off all air. That leaves you ~20% open on the secondary air and that will give you a good 1-1.5 hr burn on the big logs. You need to be careful if you are using less than dry wood. Its fine but make sure only use smaller pieces and always keep the tertiary air full open if you do this or you'll quickly creosote up your flue (BAD).

Excellent value for money
Only had the stove installed a week so have yet to really put it to the test but so far so good. Great size of glass gives an excellent view of the fire. Airwash system seems to work well and the glass is clear most of the time, though it does still need the odd clean. The operating instructions with the fire were terrible so a bit of trial and error was required. Delivery was excellent even to where we live in the north of Scotland. Overall, very pleased with out purchase.
