Smart Technology from Aarrow
Primary Air Diversion grate
The air diversion grate allows the flow of air to come up through the grate for coal or to come in over the top of the grate for wood to ensure each fuel burns in its ideal conditions. The control for this system is clearly marked on the side of the stove and can quickly and easily be set for either coal or wood.
Airwash
Aarrow's airwash system uses a curtain of preheated air to protect the glass from darkening with unburnt material ensuring you always have crystal clear view of your fire.
The following advice is designed to answer some of the more commonly asked questions and give guidance on getting the best out of a Stratford stove.
1.
Contact your local Heating Engineer prior to ordering find one here : www.hetas.co.uk , ask them to calculate the BTU/kW requirements of your system, it is important to match the BTU/kW output of the boiler to that required by your system. The number of radiators in average installation given here is for guidance only, and should not be used alone for choosing the right size stove.
2.
Stratford boiler stoves should only be installed in an indirect system.
3.
A flue draw measurement should be taken at the time of installation and overdrawing flues should have measures taken to reduce their draw. Uncorrected, an overdrawing flue may mean that the stove is unable to shut down and slumber once installed, this can cause over firing and may damage the appliance.
4.
A heat leak radiator should be installed that is 10% of the rated output of the boiler.
5.
A radiator may be required in the room where the boiler is installed as the radiated heat outputs of boiler models are fairly small due to the efficiency of the boiler.
6.
A pipe stat must be fitted to the return hot water, set at 45°C.
7.
A rust inhibitor should be added to the heating once the engineer is happy there are no leaks from the system.
8.
If using solid fuel ensure only recommended fuels are used, and definitely no Petroleum Based fuels. Please refer to your installation manual for further information.
9.
If burning wood use only seasoned, dry wood. Unseasoned and wet wood will burn inefficiently and can damage flue and stove. For every twelve hours alight a period of fast burn should be undertaken for up to 20 minutes to ensure the flue is cleared.
