THE 8\" PART OF THIS ADAPTOR IS A VERY TIGHT FIT INTO A 195MM CONCRETE CHIMNEY. I ASKED 1ST BEFORE BUYING IF IT WOULD FIT. There was no clearance for any glass rope which you said was req\'d with this either on the 6\" or 8\" parts of the adaptor.
Gr8 Fires Repy: There are grooves for glass rope on the upper larger section, concrete liners can vary a bit so you can use a suitable diameter rope here to make the seal, however if its snug you could usefire cement or other high temp sealant, the lower crimped section is designed to be a snug fit to our flue pipe and no glass rope will be called for here, just a bit of cement.
